Doggie in the Yard

I had to take some pictures of Lily in the back yard.  It’s a little tough with a white dog in sun…lots of almost fluourescing brightness!

Not sure if that is a word.  So, a cat or two has been digging up my garden the past couple nights.  Not sure if it is my cat or not.  This is not a litter box project.  I put up a barrier around the perimeter to prevent cats from getting into it.

I can pull the posts out of the holes and open up the sides to get into it.  And if this doesn’t stop the cats, the garden guard gnome will.

We had some very warm weather last week, temps in the upper 80’s and low 90’s.   Amazing how fast things grow with that heat.  Anyway, the squash and tomatoes are growing fast!  Not long before I can get the squash into the first cage ring.  Tomatoes are nearly up to the second ring.

Looking good so far!

The garden project continues to go well.  I got the third box filled and transplanted the beans and peas to it.  They were outgrowing the little starter pot they were in.  So, those are transplanted and a new batch of seeds are planted.  Today I planted some other seeds, beets, carrots and spinach.  I decided to try an eggplant.  I still need to get the herbs done, but they are starting very slow.  I also got the cages for the tomato and squash plants and put them in place.

We also found some things that are fun for the back yard.

Not a spotted owl

Fountain....and the Spoiled Rotten Dog

And….my favorite, parked out by the front porch…

Grumpy...just like me
